Untitled (Intersection art on LSL’s stop displays)

Digital text artwork

In 2021, Lahti, the European Green Capital, inspired LSL (Lahti Region Transport), the Arts Promotion Centre, Malva Museum of Visual Arts, and Lahti’s city environment to display art at transit stops.

These works highlighted Green Capital themes, prompting reflections on choices, consumption, nature, and urban art’s role.

Throughout the year, two monthly artworks were showcased: one from Malva Museum’s collection, the other from an open call, displayed at Matkakeskus center and across 16 city stops.

This digital text work raises existential questions in the era of political instability, pandemics, and climate crisis.

Who are we? Where do we come from? Where are we headed? What are we waiting for? What awaits us?

Instead of making declarations, Lampela wants to ask and awaken citizens to the challenges of our time.

Displayed in June 2021.
